How To Enroll Your Best Friend In Daycare

Call The Dog Zone staff at (319)-378-9364 to set up an appointment for about a 30-minute “meet & greet” interview which will help us determine if daycare would benefit your canine best friend.  Meet & Greets are normally scheduled Monday through Thursday in the afternoons after naptime but before pickup time, and mid-morning appointments are sometimes available if enough staff are available.  Meet & Greet appointments are not available on Fridays.  During the interview, we will ask you several questions regarding your dog’s medical and behavior history, and we will ask to see a copy of current vaccinations.  And, your dog will have a chance to meet and possibly interact with other dogs at the Dog Zone.

What else should I know?

All dogs enrolled in the basic daycare group must be at least six months of age and spayed or neutered.  Puppies in the potty training assistance group must be at least 8 weeks of age and had their first set of vaccinations & bordatella vaccine.

All dogs must be in good health and must not have been ill with a communicable disease in the last 30 days.  All dogs must have current vaccinations (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, parvovirus, rabies and bordatella).  Owners will be required to provide proof of current vaccinations from their vet before being scheduled for any daycare services.

No dogs with known aggression problems will be accepted.  If a dog is determined be aggressive while at The Dog Zone, he will not be allowed to return.
